William Park - Collected Works, November, 2026

Please join us on First Friday, November 6th, from 5 to 8, for the opening reception of an exhibit of artwork by Portland artist William Park, “Collected Works”. The exhibit will feature a selection of paintings and monotypes by Park, who passed away in March, 2025. The opening reception will feature food, drinks, and a performance by musician David Raba.

William Park - Collected Works opens on November 6th, and runs until November 28th, at D2 Gallery. William Park was a beloved Portland artist, instructor, and friend to the Northwest art community. He began his career as a commercial sign painter, before eventually fully committing himself to art at the age of 41. He maintained a collaborative studio in Northeast Portland where he worked and held workshops for the last 35 years of his life. Park exhibited his work throughout the Northwest, and has works included in the permanent collections at the City of Portland, the Tacoma Art Museum and the Crocker Art Museum in Sacramento, among other places. William Park passed away in March of 2025. The work featured at D2 spans the length of his career, and includes a selection of his paintings and monotypes. This is a unique opportunity to experience the work of an artist who was a staple of the Portland art world, whose gestural and expressive paintings, as well as his stunning monotypes, influenced a generation of Portland artists.
